A descendant of the frontiersman, Daniel Boone, Pat was a force to be reckoned with in the music business of 1957. He had 2 of the 5 top singles that year -- Presley had the other three. Between 1956 and 1963, Boone made some 54 chart appearances, many of them with two-sided hits.
He hosted his own TV show from 1957, the ABC Pat Boone-Chevy Showroom,
and starred in a string of 15 films, mostly in the 60's, with top billing over such as Barbara Eden, Jack Klugman, Ann-Margret, Tom Ewell and Wally Cox.
