New Updates!
In 2003 major breakthroughs on the HORA line of the family. The graves of James & Mary Hora were located, as well as their children John K, William, Henry, Anne, Mary and many others. Also due directly to a contact made from Nancy Cercy, whose husband is a direct descendant of John K. Hora, the lineage of John Kennedy Hora has been added.
The lineage of James Hora is nearing completion with direct connections to the Nelson/Carter families of Georgia.
I have tried my best to bring as many of the lines of James and Mary Hora down to the present and wish to thank all who have contributed their time and efforts.
~NOTE~
Thanks to a letter found by Jane Boyer, a Schumacher cousin in Michigan, the brother to Frederick Schumacher, Ludwig Schumacher's family has been found and added to the tree.

Interesting Story!
Sarah Hughes
(Mrs. Joseph B. Baumann)
Joseph B. Baumann was in apprensticeship in Europe as a young man and became the gardener for Dorothy, the Dutchess of Courtland, in Germany in 1795. He met and married Sarah Hughes, also working for the Dutchess of Courtland. They were married in 1796 at Dorothy's castle in Loebichau, Saxony, Germany. I obtained a copy of their wedding act from the German Government, along with documentation from Alain Baumann in Paris. On most 'acts' either marriage, birth, etc. a great deal of information is written, place of birth, parents names, occupations, etc. Surprisingly on their wedding act, it mentions Joseph Baumann's birth place, orrupation, etc. but lists nothing for Sarah Hughes other than "in the care of John Hughes" of London. It had been rumored through the years, as mentioned from Alain Baumann, that Sarah Hughes was the illegitimate daughter of the Dorothy, Countess of Courtland, yet to be disproved.
(one of those family mysteries never to be found real or fiction)
