A FEW MORE PIC'S

"Yea, we have a goodly heritage."

We are thankful for our history.  The historical significance of this church has been recognized with a nomination to the national register of historic places established by the United States of the Interior, National Park Service.  Whatever the honors, to our devoted members Christ Church is simply and affectionately called our Church Home.

We welcome pilgrimages from churches, families and historians.
The records from 1838 to the present have faithfully been preserved and saved through storms and disasters.  Often people contact us who are tracing their Texas family history and we are always glad to help by checking the records.  Such was the case with one family who found their early ancestors, whose record of burial was in the register.  "I Prayed in My Slave Master's Pew" is a story written by the researcher in appreciation and understanding of the discovery of an entirely new family connection.

This congregation is a member of the Episcopal Church (U.S.A.) and the Diocese of Texas. We are also part of the world-wide Anglican Communion - a fellowship of those around the world whose spiritual roots came from the Church of England.  Those roots make us ancient and current, traditional and lively, serious and a lot of fun!

We welcome visitors to all our Services.  Sunday Service is followed by refreshments and fellowship in the Parish Hall.  We offer Christian Education and training sessions for those who whish to serve in their selected Ministry.  There is a monthly community outreach luncheon meal prepared by committee members and offered to all who care to enjoy the delicious food.

We are alive and well, and will continue to serve God and our community.

"Everything can change in the blink of an eye, but don't worry, God never blinks!"

Inside, Outside, and all around the church.  While reaching out to others, we also reach out to build a Memory Garden, repaint, scrub, wash windows, polish, vacuum, dust, and make repairs.  Like all of God's Army, we eat!  We hope you'll enjoy seeing some of our day to day activities and come on by for a closer view.
