Directions: Follow road S-33-36 from Troy toward the now burned Covered Bridge.
Before reaching the Covered Bridge, go up to the old Young homestead on the left of the
road. Stand on the old "road" to the right of the barn as you face the barn (that is, standing
from the house looking toward the barn). Beginning at the right-front of the barn, walk
140 steps to the fork. (A step is each time your foot hits the ground.) Take the left
fork and walk 108 steps. An old deer stand will be on your left. It is a home-made
stand, very high in the tree. On the right will be a trail of yellow ribbons. Follow the
yellow ribbons and walk 90 steps. (This will angle slightly toward the paved road.)
The grave site is surrounded by a new cyclone fence with a gate.
