location: West of Galesburg, South of M-96, on access road for Morrow Lake, ballfields and picnic areas, go due South on access road as close to water's edge as possible
In mid-August 2001, I attempted to locate the Kalamazoo County Poor Farm. A park
ranger informed me that he believed the cemetery was located West of two giant Spruce trees in a
wooded, overgrown area at the location above. The ranger also informed me that there
were no longer any markers or stones for the cemetery, and upon inquiry the ranger did not know
where they were or what ever happened to them. The ranger did request he be informed in
the event I should discover any markers. I, myself, wandered through the woods in the
area the ranger described but located no signs of any cemetery or markers.
