Yorktown National Cemetery
There is a site along Cook Road in Yorktown that was selected in 1866 to become Yorktown National Cemetery, dedicated to Civil War Soldiers. Most of the soldiers buried there are Union Soldiers.
Several years ago I decided to make a list of the graves in this cemetery. The list quickly grew and before I knew it I was taking photos of each individual grave. Today I have a photo of each grave that I was able to get to. Several are covered over by bushes. My son was brave enough to delve beneath several bushes to capture some photos. The following pages are broken down so that one can click on a name and see the grave stone and/or read the info from the stone in the table.
If you find any discrepancies please do not hesitate to let me know. I will correct these as I am able to.
