CHARLES DOBIE : LOCAL HISTORY
TORONTO, ONTARIO
Photos by Charles Dobie

Guerilla newspaper, Toronto, 1970 & 1971

These are three of the many photos which I took of people at Guerilla. The first two were taken with a rented fish-eye lens which lends some drama to them.

Guerilla newspaper, Toronto, 1971.

Inside the downstairs office at 201 Queen Street East.
Front and center is Ken Hutchinson.

Guerilla newspaper, Toronto, 1971.

Outside the office at 201 Queen Street East. Shown are staff, friends, neighbours and people who happened to be passing by. Front and center is me, Charles Dobie, and with his hand on my shoulder is Ken Hutchinson. Far right is Guerilla editor, Mike Constable and to the left of Mike's head, in the back row, is John Hardiman, the owner of a store down the street and a loyal Guerilla supporter.

Al Darlington of Guerilla newspaper, Toronto, 1970.

Al Darlington was a photographer for Guerilla.
This portrait of him was taken in Grossman's Tavern, probably in 1970.
