Southwest Colorado is where we had dust blowing across the highway.  A short time later we were stopped at the side of the road because of the heavy rain.

     It's been said of Colorado weather, "If you don't like the weather, stick around five minutes."  In the spring of 1976 I drove to Denver to attend the electronic calibration school at Lowrey AFB.  It was sunny and 70° the day I arrived; there was four inches of snow on the ground the next morning.  Most of it was gone by the end of the day.
