We traveled during daylight hours when we could.  The only night driving was done to make it to our next way point.  Our return home started in Grand Rapids, MN.  We stopped in: Minneapolis, MN; Sioux City, IA; Denver, CO; and St. George, UT.  The last leg of our trip (St. George to San Diego), was driven totally in daylight.  This is a distance of about 470 miles in about 9 hours.

     If you drive Interstate 79 from Denver to I-15 in Utah, do it in the day time hours or you will miss some wonderful sights.  Take lots of film.
