Sweets and acids quotations
Maybe my normal being is a little Karelian and a little Danish. Both cultures are speaking fast and they have also an easy-going temperament. I have met some Danes barking but when you look in the eyes they are laughing. Quite confusing is it.
A smile enlarge the mouth
And maybe you live longer
Poetry |sitemap| home |In my childhood at Zealand Denmark I learnt fast that a rapid answer is a good thing and it can save you much trouble. But to give an answer at once usually requires that it be in store in your brain. You need not have precisely the right words but if you have many your brain can combine them to something suitable. That means you have to train in your spare time. Just look how a cat train when it feel for it. Then it is there when you need it.
The stuffed cabbage roll does the split
That is a very useful saying when you have nothing to say. The opponent become confused and you get time to find a better answer. It is also useful for yourself if your thinking is in a spin and come into a closed loop. Then it is good to push it out with something unusual.
My verbal humour is mostly coming in the fly and it lives only for a day. People and happenings in the day inspire it. Still, through the years some have been spared and written down for reuse. Here I translate some sayings that fit an international public and are not too near our local habits and politics.
It may seem as a habit, but like cats the training gives skill. People are always in a hurry and then you have to learn how to formulate yourself shortly. I must confess that some of it is reuse of old sayings in a new robe.
If you think I am rude your are right. Life has not always been kind to me. Up to relativity you should use the weapons that are custom in the world you describe. That is the way it is. It all starts here

... I am a size small person, bald and with pot-belly and my last hair is nearly fluffy. It lies near to compare myself with the Sumerian archetype ... yeah, the type is a statue on Malta about 5000 years ago too ... if they not were gods? ... then I would be godlike?
Genetic scientists tell us that we to 98% are gorilla-like. Then my likeness with Sumerians must be near 100% ... and if we compare with the orang-outang the likeness might be more than 98%. Another likeness is that I rather live apart from the crowd. A sympathetic feature in orang-outang, I think.

My friend Kjell took this picture on holidays in Denmark. It was my first school in the big house. Our teacher "Porcupine" lived in the smaller building. On the courtyard there was a hall for gymnastic and common use. Now it is all a home for the elder.
We shared the day in "the little school" between 7 and 10 years age and the "the big school" the last four years. On the back wall was our library. I carried much of it a mile to my home outside the village.

There were many houses of this kind in my childhood. This is not the smallest and farms were made like this from the 17th century to our century. There is only about 60 miles to Copenhagen and now many old houses are owned by city-dwellers living there maybe the entire year. The shores are filled with small "summer houses" and the idyllic countryside is only a memory
Here lived the Wayman, his son Keld of my age and a bunch of sisters and brothers. The Wayman had a bad habit to beat Keld up every Friday and the wife got a hit or two too.
Keld told me once that he had got a chronic headache. During the years he has been many times in prison and he never got his life in order. He could not concentrate on life and I think he took revenge on the community that did not help him out in time.

I think enterprise should pay taxes after employment. That means the less employment the more taxes. Then the market = the employers could afford to demand for products and keep the machines running. It would also decrease the expenditure for the Government too.
Some neo-liberalist told us that unemployment is a disease. The jobless causes this sickness by him self. As long as the analysis of the market is on that level I think the unemployment would be unsolved. From where do they get that intelligence? At the School of Business and Administration I suppose?
Who pay when someone is made jobless?
When I hear that rubbish reasoning i think " let us have a good war again, so that we can drink warm blood from the victims"

The politicians tell they are increasing quality and service by cutting down?
.... Our Prime Minister told us to sow on the rocks? .........I think he have read it in the Bible and tried to impress us. But as always even politicians show their knowledge whence they open their mouth. There is no excuse for poor analysis and bad thinking.
I have followed politics for about 40 years. Nothing new and not much of the astonishing kind. It is nearly the same everywhere. Since history is my issue I naturally compare with the original "ring of thing" in our Celtic culture. I compare with the intentions in our first laws. I compare with the Declaration of Human Rights, which too few know.
The absurdities could only be laughed at, since we "small peoples" cannot do anything about it. If we want to understand it is simply the growth of population and that the nobles are too far away and too few make protests. The politics become the agenda for cow thieves, horsetrade and bartering with cows.
We are responsible as long as we do nothing about it.
Since politics are our common matter and good I cannot keep my mouth shut.
