Normanton
on Soar is a picturesque village in South Nottinghamshire lying alongside
the river soar and bordering to the south the County of Leicestershire
being only 2.5 miles North West from Loughborough and about 11 miles South
West of Nottingham City.
The history of the Parish dates back to time immemorial and is documented in, and from, the Domesday Book. This site, commenced as a millenium project is intended to document the history of the Parish and its inhabitants.
