The Quakers founded a town by the name

John Bozeman in South Carolina was a loyalist and, if I remember correctly,
was "murdered" for being a loyalist.
=======================================
Jesse Bozeman, son of James and Martha who lived near to Samuel in Bladen
County fought for the colonies and then, later, as a loyalist.

His father was also John Boseman and he was married to an Indian lady, Little Fawn. My understanding is that John Boseman was half cherokee. So does this mean that Peter of Darlington was also half blood?

I believe that there were at least three different
Bozeman/Boseman/Bozman/Bosman families who came to Virginia in the
1600's. Can anyone add any other names to this list or establish
relationships between these families???

William Bozman was in Northampton by 5 Oct. 1649.

Symon Bosman surveyed land on the north side of the York River in
Virginia by 12 June, 1648. (Note: I wonder if this means he was a
surveyor or if this is a term for staking out a claim. By the way, does
anyone know if Symon was killed in the indian massacre which took place
in 164? on the north side of the York River. Over 300 settlers were
killed and the governor ordered that no one could settle north of the
river.)

Harman Boseman was in Charles City County by Sep 14 1677. He inherited
land from his father who must have been in Virgina even earlier.

Peter Bosman was in Northampton County by 1676.

Brothers Ambrose, Henry, and Ralph were early settlers in Isle of Wight
County; Ambrose by 18 Feb. 1664, Henry by 18 Feb 1685, and Ralph by 21
Sept. 1674. (Note: I do not yet have proof that Ralph is the brother of
Ambrose and Henry)

Fantastic research by Steve and Diana plus the labor of love by Rev J T Bozeman's book "Sketches" has a powerful effect on the researchers in Alabama Bozeman History, so thank you all for your hard work. The Bozeman mailing list included a Jessie Hall whom I was never able to reach, but he was included in the descendancy of Peter Edward Bozeman and Nancy Jane Anderson and I would love to hear from Jessie or his family for more information.
