This cemetery no longer has any headstones, but the owner of the land told me that there was one remaining headstone with the name McCoullough on it. My son and I walked the whole area and couldn't find the lone headstone that was supposed to be leaning up against a tree.
Since I don't know what the name of the cemetery was I chose to call it McCoullough. This is on private land and after geting the land owners number and getting permission, I had to drive thru two gates down to a low pasture and it was once in a little grove of trees. She told me that years ago someone else had gone out there, I am not sure who it was or where those records would be, maybe at the museum. I took photos of where the cemetery once stood. This cemetery is (was) located off of Hwy 60 going towards East Bernard from Wharton, I took a right on Riverside drive (a private driveway). The Petroli Family owns this land, they also own Big State Grass Farm. | |
