DEATH OF P. G. ARNOLD

P.G. Arnold, for the past six
years a resident of the Iago
neighborhood, died at his home
last Sunday night at the age of
64 years. Deceased was a na-
tive of Kentucky, but moved to
Texas, some six years since
buying a place near Iago, where
he since lived. His wife died
the year after they came here,
in 1913, and was interred in the
Wharton cemetery, and yester-
day all that was mortal of Mr.
Arnold was laid beside her. De-
ceased is survived by three
sons, Bovard and Walter, both
married and who live in Miss-
ouri and Oklahoma respective-
ly, and Paul, an enlisted man
on the U.S.S. Brooklyn. Paul
was home on a furlough at the
time of his fasther’s death. Be-
sides these sons a grandaugh-
ter, Miss Helen Arnold, aged
18 who has lived with him
since babyhood, and five step-
children mourn his demise. Mr.
Arnold was well liked by all
who knew him and the sympa-
thy of a wide circle is extended
the bereaved ones.
