George Beard Meriwether

George B. Meriwether Jr., 72 formerly of Houston, passed away March 17, 1977 in the V.A. Hospital. Civil Engineer. Member of Episcopal and longtime member of the Lions Club of Houston. Veteran of World War II. Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Francis Meriwether, Houston; son, George B. Meriwether III, Seabrook; daughter, Mrs. Mamie Codwater, Universal City, Texas; six grandchildren. Services 1:30 p.m. Saturday Settegast-Kopf Chapel with Rev. David Poteet officiating. Graveside services and burial 3:30 p.m. Saturday Northington Cemetery, Egypt, Texas Honorary Pallbearers: Member of Spring Branch and West University Lions Clubs. In lieu of flowers family requests memorials to the Texas Lions Club for Crippled Children P.O. Box 247
