Whereas, it has pleased the Almighty God to remove from Evergreen Camp No. 155 W.O.W., our beloved Sovereign and Camp Physician, C. C. Harris. The subject of this sketch was a man of rare virtue; as a Christian, humble and exemplary; as a physician, skilled in his profession; with the fraternities he was loyal to every obligation; as a citizen, patriotic and enterprising; loving son, faithful husband, tender father and constant friend, mourned by a mother, wife, four sons and a daughter, and by the entire membership of Evergreen Camp.
Be it then Resolved:
That in the death of our beloved Sovereign, this camp has lost a faithful and loyal Sovereign. While we mourn his loss we bow in humble submission to the will of Him that doeth all things well, and extend a hand of help and sympathy to our deceased Sovereign’s grief stricken family. And be it Further Resolved:
That a copy of these resolutions be tendered to the family of our deceased Sovereign, that a copy be spread on the minutes of our Camp, and that copies be furnished, The Louise News, El Campo News, Sovereign Visitor and Elgin Courier for publication.
