Royal Navy Settlers

John (also James) Scott was a seaman on HMS Supply who settled at Norfolk Island in 1791. In December 1793, he was tried for assualting a soldier who had attempted to entice Scott's wife away from him. Scott was fined ten shiilings and ordered to pay the same amount into the school fund.
