Royal Navy Settlers

William Reid was a seaman on HMS Sirius and was among the crew when the ship sailed to the Cape for provisions in October 1788. He went with the first settlers to Norfolk Island but returned to Sydney Cove shortly afterwards. In 1791 he had settled at Rose Hill.
