Royal Navy Settlers

 

John (or James) Livingston was a marine carpenter on HMS Sirius and sailed with the fisrt setlers to Norfolk island. He was one of the first to recognise the value of Norfolk pines for masts. He was later master carpenter at Sydney, Toongabbie and Parramatta and died in 1800.
