RICHARDSON AND SUSANNAH COBB According to the 1860 Ashtabula census and as stated above, the subject of this sketch, JOHN R. RICHARDSON was born in Connecticut. He married Susannah Cobb in 1826 in Portage County, Ohio. Susannah was "of New York". However, details on the moving about of the family from Connecticut through New York to Portage County, Ohio and on to Ashtabula are scant. It is apparent, though that John and Susannah had at least one child, Eunice Lavenia Richardson, born in 1828 in Trumbull County. Circumstantial evidence would appear to indicate that Eunice married at least three times ~ first to Jacob Jones, second to Benjamin Cook Hall and third to another gentleman by the name of Jones.
