MARY'S PENNINGTON LINEAGE       

1- Levi Pennington Sr, born about 1714, died 1790 in Randolph County. NC.  He is  Buried in Center MM Quaker Meeting House Cemetery, Randolph Co., NC.  He was married to Martha ?...? About 1749 in Unknown,  Martha was born on  June  17.1714. died on November 27. 1800.  Buried in Center MM Quaker Meeting  House Cemetery.  Levi and Martha had the following children.
1- Isaac Pennington , born about 1751 in Rowan Co., NC.
2-Rachel Pennington.
3-Mary Pennington.
4-Levi Pennington Jr.
5-Elizabeth Pennington.

Levi Pennington Jr.and Elizabeth had a son
Soloman, he was born about 1804 in Spartanburg Co., SC. And married Sarah ?...?  They had a son
Levi Pennington He was born about 1827 in SC. And died before 1880, he was married to Martha ?...? She was born about 1831 in Alabama, Levi and Martha had the following children.
1-Cinthia Elizabeth Pennington was born about 1852 in Alabama.
2-John W. Pennington born January 28. 1855 in Alabama.
3- Nancy A. Pennington born September 22. 1858 in Alabama.
4-Margaret Jane Pennington born June 01.1860, in Alabama, died 1884.
5-James W. Pennington born December 21, 1862, Alabama.
6-Martha E. Pennington born September 21,1865,Alabama,died September 02,1934.
7-Mary F. Pennington, born October 21,1868,Alabama.
8-Sarah J.Pennington born about 1870.
9-Levi Jackson(Jack)Pennington born March 16.1873 in Alabama, died November  16, 1922 in Reichert Oklahoma, Indian Territory.

Levi Jackson(Jack) Pennington is my grandfather, he married Nancy Sarah Jane Elizabeth Powers June 27, 1900, in Gilmore Oklahoma, Indian Territory.  Nancy was the daughter of
Charles Powers and Nancy Wyatt Mitchell, also have info on Nancy's parents.

George Carter,b 1740 in Frederick County Virginia, d 1784 in east Florida,
married Naomi Turk, daughter of John Turk.

John Carter b, Bet 1766 and 1770 in Lawrence County South Carolina, d 1805 in
Lawrence County, South Carolina, married Zibiah...?

John McDowell (Mack) Carter b 1855 in Arkansas, d 1934 in Bokoshe LeFlore
County Oklahoma. Married Matelda Catherine Fritts, August 12. 1877 in
Arkansas, she was b June 26.1857 in Arkansas, d January 01. 1946 in Spiro
Oklahoma. She was the daughter of George Fritts and Sarah (Sally) Counts.

John and Matelda had 8 children, the first born was my g-grandmother,that I
was named after, Mary Lee Carter, she was b. 1878 in Arkansas. D 1970 in
Spiro Oklahoma, LeFlore County.
She married my g-grandfather,William Sneed, b December 07, 1868 , d April 17,
1936,

William Sneed and Mary Lee Carter had 3 daughters,
Mamie Olive Sneed, Sally Sneed, Tennie Faye Sneed.  Mamie Olive Sneed was my mother's Mother.
Mamie O. Sneed, b March 06. 1901 in Seminole, Oklahoma. D. May 07. 1991 in  Spiro Oklahoma.
She married Eaphrom Vanwinkle Coffey, b March 04. In Cleveland Oklahoma 1893,  d June 02. 1940 in Safford Arizona while working on the railroad and staying  with my mother and father. he was the son of George Harvey Coffey Alice  (Allie) Lee.

They had 8 children, the first born was my mother Bessie B. Coffey,  b September 20, 1916, in Seminole Oklahoma, d November 23. 1971 in Phoenix  Arizona. She married my father Howard G. Pennington,b April 03. 1909 in Poteau Oklahoma, d July 07. 1984 in Pima Arizona. They were married January  30, 1932, in Lonepine Oklahoma.  He was the son Of Levi Jackson (Jack) Pennington and Nancy Sarah Jane
Elizabeth Powers.
