
William A. Charlton was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Johnson Charlton, 1 Penrallt Road, Bangor. Before the war he was engaged as Foreman in the G.P.O. Telegraph Department. He joined with the Royal Engineers on May 19, 1915, and served in Alexandria and in Salonika. Invalided home at Christmas, 1918, he arrived in Bangor from Birmingham Hospital on January 29, and died on February 8,1919. He was buried at Glanadda Cemetery, Bangor, February 12, aged 32 years.
