
LIEUTENANT THOMAS BARRON WINTER.
Lieutenant Winter was the eldest son of the late Mr. Thomas Winter, MA., for
many years Professor of Agriculture at the University College of North Wales,
Bangor, and of Mrs. Winter, Newby Terrace, Deiniol Road, Bangor. He was educated
at Friars School, Bangor, and at Giggleswich School. In October, 1913, he
entered the Bangor University College, having obtained a Carnarvonshire
Exhibition of £20. He joined the Royal Welsh Fusiliers in 1917, went to France
on August 22nd, 1917, and was killed near Albert on April 22, 1918, at the age
of 19 years.
