Our Trip to England - 1998

With the wonders of modern technology, I am able to tell you a little bit about our trip to England this summer.  I hope you find some of it interesting.  I have included some of the pictures that I took during the trip and as well as some commentary from my journal  and additional comments.  The majority of our time was spent in the county of Derbyshire and in around the town of Bakewell as can be seen on the map.  (Map of England)   We stayed with my father's cousin the first week and we rented a holiday cottage the second week.  The final two days were spent in London.  Anyone planning a trip to England should try to see something other than just London.  We enjoyed having the chance to stay on our own in our holiday cottage.
